About House of Hampshire
I began sewing at the age of eight years old when I had my first sewing machine for my birthday. I made all my dolls clothes and styled them to the way I wanted them to look.
At school I naturally did well in art, dressmaking and design and in my era art and design was just a hobby and not a career.
I headed for Business School instead and worked for large corporates as a Senior PA and in sales selling recruitment and advertising in the city.

For a creative this was like putting a square peg in a round hole! And I needed to break out – at the end of a stressful day I phoned The London College of Fashion to see if they would accept me as a mature student, and in my 40’s enrolled and began my degree in Fashion and Design.
This was me from the moment I walked into the art work the work room to lectures I loved it all and knew I had made the right move and trained to be a designer with people from the Jean Paul Atelier training us. My heart has always been in wedding dresses and be a designer in this field.
A lifetime
of creativity,
couture and
craftsmanship.
More recently I offered to do some charity work locally with the Old Basing Panto and helped with wardrobe – this was a great deal of fun and it was mentioned to me that I should start a business here locally in Hampshire and with the help of my lovely customers is now developing well and able to offer a professional alteration service as well as individual styling and consultation.
